Premise
It’s another day, another mission and another chance for you to save the world in this immersive escape room game from Professor Puzzle.
As a world-class secret agent, you’ve had your share of dangerous missions, but none quite like this. On board the deserted submarine Retiarius, your assignment to track down an enemy agent spirals out of control when you discover the vessel’s warheads are primed to launch! Using all your secret agent training, you need to navigate your way through the engine room, crew’s quarters, mess and control room of the sub.
One aspect I can say for certain is that the story in this game is easy to follow yet captivating. While it doesn't do anything special, it leaves me satisfied enough with the way it is structured.
Components
This game comes packed with impressive components, including a handy UV torchlight. The quality of the components is surprisingly high, especially considering the game's affordability. However, it's worth noting that some puzzles involve folding or cutting components. The game also includes an answer booklet for players to verify solutions using a scratch-off system. While the concept is appreciated, it limits the game to a single playthrough. It might have been more practical to implement an internet-based solution for checking answers, allowing the game to be shared with others.
Gameplay
The game comprises 14 interconnected and interactive puzzles,
challenging players' observation skills, lateral thinking, code-breaking
abilities, and teamwork. As previously mentioned, hints and solutions
are revealed through a scratch-off system.Puzzles/Thoughts

➕ Difficult yet satisfying puzzles. The puzzles are delightfully difficult yet immensely satisfying. They offer a logical challenge, delivering those sought-after "a-ha" moments when solutions finally click into place.
✖️ Single play restriction. Due to the scratch-off system, the game is designed for one-time use only, which may deter some players.
Verdict
The greatest strength of "Danger in the Deep" lies in its impeccably designed puzzles. Each puzzle is well-crafted, fair, and encourages players to think creatively. While the challenges can be tough, the hint system is there to guide you when needed. In conclusion, this game is an easy recommendation.
